Nyepi Day in Bali

       

Tanggal 17 maret 2018 adalah hari raya nyepi untuk umat hindu,selama tinggal di bali, ini adalah kali pertama saya merasakan pengalaman ini.

Hari raya nyepi adalah tahun baru umat Hindu berdasarkan kalender saka. Sebelum hari raya nyepi biasanya dilakukan beberapa tradisi yaitu upacara Melasti dan Ogoh ogoh.

Upacara Melasti adalah upacara penyucian. Biasanya umat hindu akan pergi beribadah ke danau atau pantai. Ogoh ogoh adalah patung raksasa dari simbol dari Bhuta Kala yang biasanya melambangkan kejahatan.

Tepat sehari sebelum hari raya nyepi biasanya masyarakat bali melakukan pawai ogoh ogoh.

Selama beberapa hari teman-teman saya,baik yang beragama hindu atau pun nonhindu sudah membicarakan ingin melihat ogoh ogoh. Mereka sudah tidak sabar ingin menonton pawai Ogoh ogoh, Saya juga. Ha ha ha

Pada saat hari raya nyepi semua umat hindu dilarang melakukan aktifitas atau catur brata penyepian. Catur brata penyepian yaitu tidak menyalakan api, tidak malakukan pekerjaan, menghentikan kesenangan,dan tidak berpergian.

sebagai nonhindu pun tentu saya juga harus solidaritas. Karena itu saya selama sehari itu hanya ada di dalam rumah. Hahaha. 

Perlu diketahui jaringan internet dan televisi juga di matikan alhasil saya hanya menonton film seharian. Syukurlah teman saya menyarankan untuk download film. Malam pun tiba kesunyian semakin terasa dan rumah-rumahpun tidak boleh terlihat terang dari luar,karena itu jendela harus ditutup rapat.

Untuk itu sekarang diluar kamar saya, semua gelap gulita. Sebenarnya saya penasaran karena itu saya keluar rumah, tentu saja saya masih dalam pekarangan rumah, dan yang saya dapatkan pemandangan keindahan langit malam,dipenuhi bintang-bintang,sungguh luar biasa. Tidak ada cahaya lampu semua gelap dan satu satunya pencahayaan hanya dari bintang bintang. itu sangat indah. Saya tidak dapat menuliskan keindahannya. Saya menyesal karena tidak memiliki kamera yang bagus untuk bisa mengambil foto.  Meskipun begitu saya sangat senang karena saya masih dapat merekamnya dalam kenangan saya.

Dan Ketika menatap langit malam ,yang ada di dalam pikiran saya adalah ”wow... Tuhan aku bersyukur bisa menatap ke indahan malam,aku berharap bisa menatapnya setiap hari”.

Langit malam itu benar benar indah. 

Pererenan Beach

It was a sunny day. Because there is a affairs I go to Mengwi. Mengwi is a sub-district in Badung district, Bali, Indonesia. I was the first time this area.

After finishing my affairs, I thought to take a break at a roadside cafe.The streets are not crowded, there are only a few bikers, some of whom are foreigners and carry surf boards. Of course I immediately googeling, "the nearest beach".

Indeed Google is very useful when you do not know anything, you can find anything in google and when you search for a specific location you can also use Google map. Thank you google.^^

After searching, i find the nearest beach "Pererenan Beach". I did not take long to decide to go there.

The streets are not too crowded, and after about 20 minutes, from a distance I can see the inviting blue sea. 

            

     

Go to the beach you will be welcomed by a 12-meter-high statue on a cliff of rock, a statue called Gajah Mina on the riding by Baruna God which is a symbol of the ruler of the sea. (trust from local people)

In addition to a beautiful statue you will also be pampered with chunks of rock that juts into the sea. What's more fun you can also enjoy the waves breaking in the rock and evoke a very beautiful sound. You also have to be careful, If you don't want to get wet ,not too close.

There is a phrase that says "wash your mind with sea water" the sentence came true because I was washed 3 times.
But what's fun when you're on the beach and not wet??? Ha ha ha

Dreamland

Dreamland..what do you think when you read that word ??

All I think about is my the world of thought .. I mean what I imagine. Every day I always imagine the imagination, then I begin to realize that the imagination is amazing, you can go wherever you want. Bad or good things are your choice. I can also call my dreamland my hope.

Even so I should get out of my "Dreamland" and face the real world. Whatever dream or hope I have to make it real. Hoping on God, and trying to achieve that hope.

Are You Oke???

This is the hardest question for me to answer when a friend asks me, "Are you okay?" I’m confused,when I answer I'm good that's a lie. when at night I remember the past, i thought i'm still crying. A lie if you can forget your memories in 6 months. May be Memories can fade with times.

But when I replied I wasn’t good either it was a lie because I'm fine from the outside and I can still smile and laugh. Even I can still live my life well.
Another question I also don’t understand what I should to answer. "Are you looking for a new boyfriend?"

I mean i'm already move on. Even if i feel  that but I also don't want to push myself to find another man. I want to enjoy myself and someday I will get the best for me.

Many people broke up and soon got a new lover. I thought it was bad decision. Love can’t come without an open heart. Nevertheless don’t impose love.

If possible I would not want to experience it, break up and lonely. Even so I'm grateful I can be strong to live all this.

Kuta beach in summer

The Sand Kuta Beach

This is my shadow photo in the sand kuta beach. After going through many things, I arrived in Bali, and tried to stay here. This photo I took on kuta beach, beach with white sand is very beautiful. 

The reason I go to Bali may be according to others it is a childish reason. Break up, traveling, and work. Of course many do not agree I went to Bali. But somehow I felt I had to went to Bali. I don't want to live in a cage, I want to be freedom.

Bali is beautiful, not only the scenery but also the culture, it is really interesting. The desire to see new things, my curiosity must be very big even if i don’t know would happen after that. 

On the beach lined beverage and drink sellers, massage service, tattoo service, etc. So don’t be surprised when you get there and in offered for their service. Ha ha ha
Of course I was persuaded by some Seller. I bought drinks and finally got to sit in a tiny chair. It was a hot day in the summer. I'm grateful to have a seat behind the tree shade.

The sellers here are amazing they speak english, and some speak mandarin.
Sitting on the beach with new people in the meeting is not too bad, you can talk chat without having to know what your problems and who are you.

Here I just learned that Foreigner Tourists here they can vacation for months. And now I own it. I am in Bali for about 5 months and feel not bored. I thought the experience was valuable so I don’t regret it.

Long Time No see

It's been a long time since I've written on a blog maybe it's been 5 years because of a lot of busyness and I forgot to write it here. For 5 years a lot has happened, from college graduation, looking for work, working, getting new friends, breaking up and moving to Bali. Yes now I live in Bali, for how long I don't know. I am grateful that I can experience many things, from sadness, loneliness, and happiness. Now I want to write again, maybe while remembering and sharing some of my old memories or my new experiences. May I continue to have the desire to write 😊
