How wonderful Goa Gajah -- Elephant Cave

 on  with No comments
Goa Gajah
I’m happy to finally be able to write again, after busy with my work. This time I want to write about my experience to Goa Gajah or Elephant Cave. Starting from a desk calendar in the office. It was the 1st of May, I came to my friend's workroom, and wished I saw the calendar. That's where I saw the picture of Elephant Cave. At that time I thought I also wanted to go there. It's related to "you see, you want" .hahaha. So i decided to visit Elephant Cave.
Distance from airport 42 km or 71 minutes by car. Elephant Cave was discovered in 1923 and according to Tour guide, in Lontar Negarakertagama book compiled by Mpu Pra Panca in 1365 AD, there is literature that states "Lwa Gajah" meaning river elephant.

Elephant Cave
Elephant Cave is a temple of worship of the gods Hindu and Buddhist gods during the 9th century Warmadewa dynasty. Yep if confused who it is Mpu Pra Panca and dynasty Warnadewa, let us remembers the history lesson, or can u ask google.^^ I love this temple because this temple is proof that people of antiquity also have a high sense of tolerance.
Entering Elephant Cave area as usual, you have to pay entrance fee, ticket only IDR 15k. To enter every area of Pura in Bali for those who wear pants or dress above knee should wear Sarong. I think this is a good tradition because wherever we are we should respect the place.
To reach the mouth of Elephant Cave you have to descend the stairs, from above, you can see the mouth area of Elephant Cave, the rocks of the former destroyed buildings and the bathing pool or petirtaan. Please don’t jump because you can’t wait to see it, you have to be patient down every step. Ha ha
The bathing pool or Petirtaan there are 7 statues. 3 Widyadari statues in the north and 3 Widyadari statues in the south, flanking 1 statue Widyadara. You can really wash your face there but be careful because it's slippery.
Petirtaan
In front of Goa Gajah there are 2 statues of guards, and 7 other statues. 5 on the left and 2 on the right. When you look up you will see the beautiful Elephant Cave carvings.

Elephant Cave this can be entered. The area in Elephant Cave is in the letter T. This cave is rather narrow can only be passed by 1 or 2 people. On the left and right there is a niche to meditate
and at the eastern end of the alley there is a Trilingga and west of Ganesha statue. So this cave used to be used for ascetic and worship

Ganesha -- Goa Gajah
I think what it feels like to be an ascetic, far from all worldly things and just focus on God. I think everyone always has a feeling to be closer to his God. In many ways.
Once satisfied with the photos inside cave, let's roam in again. Down the stairs again we will find the river and lotus pond. Because rarely exercise up and down the stairs his way is quite tiring for me. Evidence that I lack sports, I finally gave up and decided to sit for a moment near the lotus pond. Although I was tired but all tired it was healed with all the beautiful scenery. I’m grateful to come to Elephant Cave, Because I think my time is valuable to enjoy to the beauty that God created. I hope everyone who reads my blog also has a desire to come, like when I see a photo on the desk calendar at that time. ^^

Taman Ayun Mengwi Temple

 on  with No comments
Pura Taman Ayun
Can’t wait for blogging after some time busy with my work, today I finally get blogging too. Yep this time I will share my experience at Taman Ayun Mengwi Temple.

Pura Taman Ayun

Taman Ayun Mengwi Temple is located in the area of Mengwi, Badung, Bali. The distance from the airport is about 75 minutes. Taman Ayun Temple was founded in 1634 AD by the first King Mengwi namely King I Gusti Agung Putu, with title Ida Cokorda Sakti Belambangan. Built for the worship of the ancestral spirits and the Gods.
Google Map Pura Taman Ayun
First enter you will pass the bridge which is the main door of the temple. Here you will enter the entrance ticket, for local tourists IDR 10k  and for foreign tourists IDR 20k. Cheap enough right ?? ^^
Pura Taman Ayun
Well as usual for you who want to know more about the history of Taman Ayun Temple Mengwi, always use the Guide Tour, you can order the Guide Tour in entrance tickets. In addition you have also helped the locals, but for the low buget it doesn't matter without the Tour Guide. ^^

Once you pay for your ticket, you will be forwarded by an officer who will lend a typical Balinese sarong. For tourists who wear pants or skirts above the knee should use a cloth to cover the knee, this is a destination for homage to a sacred temple.

Not far from the left entrance ticket there is a fountain of 9 wind direction, and on the right there is a place to Cockfighting. Enter again there is a door number 2, in this yard you can found is Aling aling Bale Pengubengan. This beautiful building is classified by relief. I'm amazed.

Enter again there is a door to the 3 that is toward the center of the temple. In this door there is a beautiful carving, when I saw it I was amazed by the culture of Indonesia.

For this part, I can only see from the outside because of the view of the temple and the small river. And the inside only for Hindu worship. In this area there are statues and Meru - meru for worship to the Hindu God.

Overall Taman Ayun Temple is very beautiful, which I love from Taman Ayun Temple is carving and location of Temple which is in the middle of the river. Makes me think, building this temple may be built for private worship by the King with his god.
In my opinion, true worship is a worship that is not for showing off and a personal relationship with God.

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.  (Matthew 6: 6)

Pantai Melasti Tanah Lot

 on  with 2 comments

Pura Alas Kedaton - Monkey Forest

 on  with No comments
Alas Kedaton

Pura Alas Kedaton or Pura Dalem Khayangan kedaton is a temple in a forest inhabited by hundreds of monkeys. More interestingly, Pura Alas Kedaton is one of the temples of the Megaletic era. * @ *

Alas Kedaton is located in the village of Kukuh, Marga district, Tabanan district. The distance is about 46 minutes from Denpasar. For more help, let's use google maps. I am always helped by google map. ^^

Enter the parking area don't forget make sure all the car windows are closed tightly, and if you ride motorcycle, park near the entrance. The monkeys here are naugty ^^ they are sometimes distracted by high curiosity.

Go inside you will be offered by some tour guide, if you want to know more about Pura Alas Kedaton and Monkey Forest, the tour guide is quite helpful.

Inside, don't be surprised if you are immediately greeted by monkeys and Monkey statues. You can also buy nuts for their food. They are not an aggressive monkey but you also have to be careful, and don't be disturbed.

Here you can see monkeys doing various activities. Eat, drink, play, and the most interesting is to find lice. Yes this activity is what catches my attention, they can line up and search for fleas, like humans. ^^

The most interesting behavior is mother and monkey child. Parent instinct is also owned by a monkey, so don't you dare bother a cute monkey child. Hold your wish to hold him. Ha ha ha

When I look at their various activities there that impress me, there are two monkey children who hugged each other. When I came, one of them started upset and tried to protect his brother. They love each other. Monkeys can love each other is not humans should be more able to love each other??
Little Monkey

I hope to come again to visit this cute monkeys <3 span="">
